Pomodoro: This frog is edible
“You cannot eat tadpole and frog in a pond, but you can eat the biggest and ugliest one, and that will be enough” Brain Tracy
The Pomodoro technique is a time management way developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. This technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are called “Pomodoros”. This method enhanced productivity and improve mental agility.
when I was doing my project work, I learned about this technique “Pomodoro” during online course work. So, I decided to use this technique to complete my work because I had to my work in 2 hours but the monkey of procrastination distracted me in many ways. Firstly I set the timer to 25 minutes and started to do my work. During this time Monkey is again coming to me and provoked me to use Facebook but I promised myself to utilized my estimated time so I kicked him out. After 25 minutes the bell rang, during this time I finished my estimated task. after getting a 5-minute break, I again set the timer and started to do my work. it took me almost two hours to complete all the parts of course.
Actually, I Eat the frog with the Pomodoro technique by following steps:
- Decided the task to be done: I decided to do my remaining online course by Pomodoro technique.
- Set the Pomodoro timer: I set the timer of 25 minutes to do my task.
- Remove distractions: I worked on the task until the timer rang but I also note down my distraction and removed them during the task.
- Take a few minutes break & again set another Pomodoro for the next task: Take a few minute breaks to satisfy my monkey. then again started to do work.
so by this technique, I did my work in less time.
Experience:
It was a great experience to overcome my procrastination and completing my work in less time. this Pomodoro technique helps me to manage my time and make it more productive for me. I will continue to accomplish my task in the future as well.
